About Dr Leisa Veale
Dr. Veale graduated from Murdoch University with a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Chiropractic. She has been certified to practice Webster Technique, a technique specifically for the optimal spine and pelvic alignment for pregnant women.
She also practices Sacro Occipital Technique (S.O.T) and Activator Technique as part of her gentle care towards pregnant women and babies. Dr. Veale has completed her advanced training in Graston Technique, a muscle and scar tissue mobilisation technique for soft tissue/muscle injuries, scar tissue build-up and sports injuries.
Complimenting her Graston Technique skills Dr. Veale also has a certificate in Swedish Massage and is a level 1 Sports Trainer. As part of her ongoing development Dr. Veale undertook an internship with the Seattle Mariners Major and Minor Baseball leagues in the USA, which allowed her to learn the latest rehabilitation techniques and sports therapies used in professional sporting arenas. Dr. Veale has also participated in the Margaret River Surfing Masters where she treated pro-surfers during competition.
Before Dr. Veale took on her journey as a chiropractor she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and is a qualified Midwife. Her nursing and midwifery career allowed her the opportunity to work at many hospitals around Perth. She also volunteered her time to nurse in Kenya and Thailand’s poor communities.
